Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Okay, so after having a complete breakdown and deciding that the 26k words I wrote sucked and then the 5k words I wrote after that of a different story also sucked, I am starting completely over. (I'm not deleting my words, so don't explode; I'll just have an author charachter who was writing. Or something.)

And now I'm starting without a plot, without an idea, without anything.

Actually, all I have right now is this.

"He woke up without his alarm going off, which was weird, but even weirder was the fact that the light in his room was on and there was writing in blood on his wall.

Huh. He didn't remember that having been there."

All I know about "he" is that
-He's brunette
-He's... in a bed... of some sort
-He lives in a time era where they would have alarm clocks
-I'm guessing he has some sort of supernatural ability or connection to the other world (or maybe just a creepy stalker, but he seems pretty okay with the blood on his wall)

What I want to know about "he" is
-His name
-If he lives alone
-What kind of supernatural ability or connection to the other world he has
-What the writing on the wall says
-Who the hell wrote it
-What time it is
-Where he lives
-His job
-Six random things about him
